1. "Glenn Beck claims only “hookers” depend on Planned Parenthood."

    On his Monday show, Glenn Beck played the tape of Lawrence O’Donnell’s tearing up while he read a letter from a friend of his describing her need for Planned Parenthood’s services.

    Halfway through Beck stopped the tape and said “Hookers? Who depends on Planned Parenthood?” He then impersonated the woman, who said she had had an abortion.

    “I’ve got 400 abortions that I have to have!” Beck said. “I have to have these children aborted!” He and his co-hosts then continued making fun of O’Donnell and the woman for several minutes more.

    No, Glenn Beck, you’re wrong. One in five American women visit Planned Parenthood in their lifetime. Reblog if you’re one of them.

    My two cents, as a former abortion nurse/medical assistant at Planned Parenthood:
    Not only do men and women go to Planned Parenthood for things OTHER than abortion (read: breast exams, STI testing, pap smears, birth control, prenatal services, etc.), but 1 in 3 women will have an abortion in their lifetimes.  Think of your mother, your sister, and your aunt.  Which one is a hooker, Glenn? 

    If you take away Planned Parenthood’s ability to provide prophylactic services, such as birth control, at reduced prices, the number of unwanted pregnancies will increase.  Women will not stop seeking abortions, even if abortion were to become illegal.  Would you want to see women die from hemorrhage or sepsis due to back alley abortions? 

    Oh wait, I forgot, you’re Glenn Beck.
